Here relaxation, relaxing and especially do nothing on the menu. With your feet in the sand, floating on an air mattress or lazy from a chair on the terrace of a beach anyone can stand here for hours.

If you have a car, a trip to Bergen aan zee for a beach day might be very much worth it. Bergen is a cute town. Lots of little boutiques and restaurants. Only a 40 minute drive.

Bergen aan Zee is an attractive vacation destination all year round. Bergen aan Zee is another beautiful beach place close to Alkmaar. Unfortunately the bus line from Station Alkmaar doesn't offer a good connection, as it will take 56 minutes by bus. But if you take the bike you will reach this place in 30 min, and the bicycle route is definitely worthwhile!
