Tips from locals
Great trails for biking/walking/running, lake with non-motorized boat rental opportunities, cross country ski trails and rentals, huge play structure (summers) for the kids. Near by stop at the Richardson Nature Center to meet their resident raptors.
They have a big park they used to call chutes and ladders. It has since then been updated and it is a great place to go to BBQ, fish, or just rent paddle boats or canoes. They also have walking and bike trails. A great way to enjoy being outdoors.
Great park reserve just outside Minneapolis. They offer a nature center, play area, and trails for biking and hiking. In the winter they offer groomed cross country skiing trails including lighted paths as well as snow shoeing and snow boarding.
