246 Hurontario Street As I sat sipping my Sumatra bean cold brew, I detected a delicious note of honey and orange and I was reminded of owner Bruce Zigman’s comment, “Summit Social House is about the coffee.” Bruce tasted his first cup of coffee at age 29 and immediately fell madly in love with the beverage. His obsession leads him to source high-quality beans and to continuously monitor the techniques required to brew the perfect cup. This is reflected in the quality of Espresso, Americano, Filter, Cortado, Cappucino, Flat White, Latte, French Press, Aeropress, Frappuccino and Cold Brew offered at Summit Social House. The coffee enhances the flavou r of the outstanding croissants, muffins, cookies and brownies that are baked and delivered daily by local artesian chefs. Loco por el Asado, founded by Joseph Griffin and his Argentian wife Alejandra, provide savory empanadas. Vegan grilled cheese and Italian Ciabatta are teaming with flavor . Somehow, though, the most impressive menu item is one of the most basic classics – genuine Montreal bagels with lox. As my friend said “they are the real deal.” Bruce, a seasoned Mountain bike racer, recently moved from Montreal with his family to inhale our fresh air and to pursue his passion for cycling and the cycling community. Not surprisingly then that Summit Social House patrons can also kick back with a post-ride pint brewed by fellow cycling community enthusiasts at Rally Beer Co. This new-to-the-craft-beer-scene brews specifically with post-workout recovery in mind, adding salts and black currants to restore electrolytes. Collingwood can now boast that we have a cycling café! Directions Walk south 1 block on Pine Street to 4th Street, turn left on 4 th Street. You will be able to see the Blue Summit Social House sign from the corner of Pine and 4 th Streets
