St. Augustine, Florida Just under a two-hour drive, you will reach St. Augustine, a city on the northeast coast of Florida claimed to be the oldest city in the United States. It is also known for its Spanish colonial architecture as well as beautiful sandy Atlantic Ocean beaches. The Castillo de San Marcos is a 17th century Spanish stone fortress with views of the St. Augustine Inlet. After visiting the fort, there is a (walkable) area with shops and dining.

San Agustín is a city reminiscent of the Spanish invasion. This city preserves architecture of this time, along with a castle, and alleys in the city where restaurants, shops, and galleries are found. beautiful place to learn a bit of history, and have dinner by the sea. It is located approximately 2 hours from the city.
