A beautiful lake used by fishermen sailers and boaters It’s footpath leads around the circumference of the lake taking in the picturesque Staffordshire countryside A small cafe is situated at the far end of the lake by the cafe serving snacks A great day out or just to sit snd relax on the bridge to watch the water There’s a miniature steam train half a mile down the road that runs along one length of the lake

A haven of peace and tranquillity, Rudyard's two and a half mile long lake is beautiful with lovely scenery and a pub at the edge of the lake. Rudyard Kipling's parents honeymooned here and is where Rudyard was conceived - hence his name! Hotel Rudyard (typical old fashioned pub/hotel with red paper serviettes, lots of wood and creaky floors but very friendly and relaxed) is on the edge of the lake so you can pop in to have a drink and a bite to eat.
