Why locals recommend it

The owner, April Anderson, is in the kitchen everyday at 5:00am preparing every aspect of her baked goods fresh. And when it’s closing time, leftovers are donated to the homeless. Her spot is on the street with the most black-owned businesses in the country, and it’s so refreshingly diverse. You walk in and it’s like the Reading Rainbow in there. Her red velvet cake is my favorite—she uses beet juice instead of dye, and even a beet hater like myself was proven wrong.
