A beautiful spot within a quick walk of Glenorchy township. There's a trail that goes through and around the lagoon or you can simply pick a bench and enjoy the view!

Distance: 5 kilometer (3.1 miles) loop Time needed: 1.5 hours Difficulty: Easy (good for kids) This short and easy walking track leads you from the Glenorchy Jetty to the Glenorchy Lagoon to enjoy a beautiful nature walk and see epic reflections of the Humboldt Mountains. The lagoon was actually a film location in the Lord of the Rings trilogy where Gollum leads Frodo and Sam across the Dead Marshes.
