Not the post office but across the road is botanic gardens that are joined to Queens University. Nice for a walk or picnic and parking is usually easier at the Stranmillis side or the street beside Queens Students Union. The bus on Malone road goes directly past this.

Botanic Gardens contains two important Victorian buildings, the Palm House and the Tropical Ravine, as well as a children's playground, walking routes, a rose garden and assorted tropical plants.
