You don’t have to stay at the ranch to horseback ride! You can book a trail ride with your group. This is a 15-20 minute car ride from the Glampsite.

The local resort/dude ranch offers horseback riding through their beautiful countryside property ($49/rider). Day passes for a wider range of their amenities are available for $40/adult and $20/children. This includes lunch, use of the pools, reduced horseback riding rates, and other activities.

Point of Interest
“Of all the festivals held at the Rhinebeck Fairgrounds this has to be hands down the best one! There is so much to see and do. Kids love it and if you are interested in purchasing real handmade goods this is a must. There are many exhibits for the whole family to enjoy. Watch a sheep get sheared and see the wool become yarn. There are tons of animals there. Plan on spending the whole day. When you are done, there are a plethora of good restaurants in the town of Rhinebeck. One of my favorites is Cinnamon, just South of Rhinebeck. If you are a vegetarian you’ll appreciate this authentic Indian restaurant. For more traditional fare treat yourself to dinner at The Beekman Arms.”

Waterfront
“What better way to cap off your trip upstate!! On the way home stop for brunch or dinner at the Kingston waterfront. Fringing the Rondout Creek and the Hudson River that it feeds, Kingston’s waterfront area exudes a relaxed, maritime feel. Here in Downtown, also dubbed “the Rondout” or “the Strand,” a walkable stretch of eateries, galleries, and boutiques comes clustered along Broadway and West Strand”
