Sörfjärden dates back to the Iron Age. In the rich cultural landscape you will find Iron Age tombs, ancient castles, mines, blast furnaces and an old working environment with both manor and workers' housing. The fishing village around Gnarpsån is an idyll that must be experienced. The two kilometer long sandy beach is larger than several of Sweden's most visited beaches. There are also small coves with sandy beaches and two nature reserves just around the corner. For boaters, Sörfjärden is a perfect harbor for excursions to islands, bays and summer restaurants. The sea bath in Sörfjärden is an undiscovered gem among all the summer's overcrowded bathing spots. There is plenty of space for the whole family.
