Tips from locals
There's been a huge regeneration project around Kings Cross - there are now tonnes of independent shops, great restaurants and bars in the area around the station (and market stalls at the weekend). Really worth a visit.
Walk along the Regents Canal at the bottom of Kentish Town Rd - turn left to go to the amazing Kings Cross with its myriad of restaurants and parks - or turn right to go through Camden Market and London Zoo to Little Venice.
Vibrant entire newly renovated district round the back of Kings Cross station full of restaurants, bars, shops, new buildings, works of art - a giant swing, St Martin's School of Art, the German Gymnasium bar, walk-through fountains in Granary Square, Kings Place arts centre, and they say Google HQ…
Recently re-developed, Kings Cross is now one of the hottest places for food, drink and general scenery (must visit the canals)
