Forest Library

Why locals recommend it

This is a privately run library, rather than a store focused on making bestsellers fly off its shelves. The wooden interior has a laid-back atmosphere. Members visit for free, while others pay an entry fee. It’s open late, and there’s a nice bar where you can order drinks tied to Japanese literature. It’s a place any book lover would love to call home. The owner’s name is Mori-san, which is why it’s called Mori’s Library. The members get to choose the book selection, a unique approach for a community library.
