What I personal like about Norah Heads light house is not just the history but accessibility to a great spot to visit. Start your walk through the bush from the Brush St Reserve to the light house which gives you views over the coast. Keep going around the coast back up to the carpark. 40min plus walk. Take the dog and have some fun and explore.

Nice lookout and you can do a tour of the lighthouse. Also you can walk down to the beach and explore the rock pools.

Google says it s a good spot for catching sunrise. We just haven’t got high enough enthusiasm to leave the bed at 5am... But make time to come for the light. The gate closes an hour after sunset.
