A stylish, sky-lit getaway from the city bustle, the Portrait Café serves quality sandwiches, salads, stews and soup as well as an enticing selection of hand-crafted cakes and pastries. Our barista-made coffee comes from Union Roasters, one of London’s premier artisan suppliers. Why not join us Thursday, Friday or Saturday evenings from 5-8pm, when we offer sharing boards of the finest British charcuterie and cheeses served with a range of accompaniments including our own bread.

Lovely airy restaurant with great views from the top of the National Portrait Gallery. Makes an excellent lunch stop after an exhausting morning in the galleries or a romantic dinner venue. Booking is essential, and get there early to beg for a seat by the window.
