Irish Pub. Good basic food. Pretty much everything. Not flash but it is comfortable and has a good atmosphere. Reasonable prices, you see a lot of families and groups. If you want a booth or table might pay to book one. It’s sometimes pretty busy.

The Rivers is Gisborne’s “local”, with the true Irish flavour. Family friendly, well priced menu with generous portions. Gisborne’s only Beer Master. Enjoy the friendly atmosphere.

Located at the Eastern end of the CBD just before you cross the bridge to the Marina Precinct The Rivers has a casual Irish Pub atmosphere and you can get a good meal or a drink at the bar with snacks. The Turanganui River is across the road and you can have a drink on at a curbside table while enjoying the view.

Our 6yr old grandaughter loves this place. The Green Dip (Cob Loaf) and Traffic Lights are her fav. We don't have to ask where she wants to go for lunch!!
