Beautiful views and filled with places to explore. RNLI lifeboat station, art galleries, shops galore, restaurants galore, stunning beaches. INarrow roads and a one-way system in operation. It is a super busy town so use the park and ride or arrive by train from St Erth Station. Traffic often builds up mid -morning so get there early. Loads to see and do, or just spend the day on one of the beaches!

- Porthminsterbeach Spectacular calm beach popular with families with kayak and stand up paddleboard (SUP) hire.  Tides can create small pools for swimming.  Two cafes and very popular (but pricey) restaurant on beach. - Harbour Beach Right in the centre of St Ives, this is a tidal harbour with boat moorings.  Usually very sheltered and very popular especially when the wind is up!  If things get too hot, make sure you have a pint in The Sloop Inn. - Balamuz Very small, tidal beach, mainly for dog walkers. - Porthgwidden Small but popular beach near to car parks.  Served by lovely cafe. - Porthmeor Right in front of The Tate Gallery, very popular with surfers but on a calm day is good for family swimming.  Small car park.  Spectacular beach looking with good views of The Island and St Nicholas Chapel.  Lovely cafe and beach bar serving tapas.
