You can enjoy pre-ordered snack or meal that are cooked with local, home-grown ingredients while looking at humming birds. The feature ingredient is cocoa/chocolate from their cocoa estate

Café Mariposa is an open-air restaurant, surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful flowers. They specialize in Spanish creole cooking, with tortillas being a favourite. They cater for vegetarian and gluten-free diets and use many vegetables and herbs grown organically on a nearby farm, which also features a large tilapia pond. The cooking style is not only local, but heavily influenced by the island's indigenous ancestors, Latin and Caribbean cuisine.

The family-owned Café Mariposa is walking distance from the Lopinot Historical Complex. They serve Spanish creole cuisine that incorporates cocoa and chocolate. Patrons can choose their protein that is served with fixed side dishes. Ours was served in a leaf-lined calabash bowl and was delicious. Their black fruit cake flavoured ice cream was silky and decadent.
