About this place
Bohemian and relaxed, Foxfire is like your globe-trotting uncle’s country estate. A place where modern travelers can lounge by the stone fireplace on sheepskin rugs or on vintage velvet and leather sofas. It’s about conversation, community, and the right ambiance to create perfect moments.
Located in the Catskill mountains, Foxfire Mountain House is nestled on ten private acres with a pond and lily pool, bonfire pits, and a rustic outdoor pavilion for nights under the stars. Travel the byways and check out local shops and restaurants, or stay swaddled in the hammock for hours on end. It’s a place to call your own, however long you stay. You’re welcome here, always.
Tips from locals
Design trendy boutique hotel with currently/COVID outdoor back deck dining; call ahead, as they often only allow dining as a package deal with a pricey room stay.
Very well done renovation of an old inn in the mountains, interesting food, and beautiful location for events.
Locally sourced and seasonally-inspired rustic, global cuisine, atmosphere is great here!
One of our most favorite and aesthetically pleasing places in the area. If they aren't booked for a wedding, try getting there for a drink or a meal and simply to enjoy the absolute beauty of this spot.
Top-tier restaurant/lounge in a beautifully renovated warm and rustic setting. Cranking out some of the best food and cocktails in the central Catskills, it's hard to go wrong at Foxfire. While you wait for your table, grab a drink and take a seat on a beautifully worn leather couch right in front…
