Definitely a great way to take easy walks and learn about the local environment. Check out the Orono Boardwalk while you are there!

Go at dusk to see the porcupine. A good place to see grouse as well as they fly off surprised.

Well maintained forest area; great walking, biking, skiing or snowshoeing trails. Wildlife possible.

Great in every season, but you can’t beat the scenery in the snow covered winter.

Features more than 680 acres of wildlife habitat and working forest, and 9+ miles of trails for running, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. There is a boardwalk enabling visitors to City Forest to see a bog up close and personal without getting their feet wet. There are kiosks labeling plants along the boardwalk.
