Seventeenth-century church whose classical façade dates from the 1850s. The project has been attributed to the architect/painter Nicolau Nasoni. The altarpiece, of Porto rococo style, was considered to be a stylistically revolutionary piece. Building designated national monument.

part of a former 17th century convent with a simple classical façade, a bell tower, and a richly gilded interior. Right next to Carmo Church. There is a tiny house in between.

They are 2 churches (Carmo on the right, and Carmelitas church on left) separated by one of the world’s narrowest houses built to make all contact between priest and nuns impossible. 350m far
