Hedlow Creek is fresh water, spring-fed located at the foothills of a number of volcanic plugs plainly visible from many of the artillery roads around cattle farms in our region. There is a reserve located on Lake Mary road, very close to the foot of a volcanic plug, that contains a deep and wide stretch of water, often a Sunday afternoon location for locals to stop in. Some swim here, some celebrate here and the occasional visitor stops here overnight. Pretty as a picture, private and isolated, Hedlow Creek is a picnic location for couples and families.
