Banks Reserve and Banks Amphitheatre is a beautiful parkland stretching from Joel Terrance in Mount Lawley, through to the Swan River in East Perth. Banks Reserve and Banks Amphitheatre are ideal location for weddings, birthdays, picnics, BBQ’s or simply walking. The foreshore offers lovely shady grassed areas with picnic tables and BBQs not far from the water's edge.

One of the most accessible and scenic river walks (or easy bike rides) in Australia is along this part of the Swan River. From Banks Reserve, head north along the river past a scenic picnic area, small dog-friendly river beach, and stunning wetlands and continue to Maylands Jetty or further on to Maylands Peninsula where you'll take in stunning views of the Perth skyline. Alternatively, from Banks Reserve head south toward Claisebrook Cove in East Perth and do a loop across the bridges past Perth/Optus Stadium, Crown Casino and Herison Island - also with stunning views of the Perth skyline.

A peaceful spot down at the Swan River, with bike paths leading off along in either direction. Head down early enough and see the rowers training on the river.
