This gem is a great destination for picnics and walking/running or cross-country skiing. Embedded on a forest hilltop it has several small shelters where you can make your food over open fire or even stay the night (but bring some mosquito-repellant). There is also a basic but cozy café which serves coffee and wafles. You can walk all the way to Hamptjärnsstugan from our accomodation (about 10 km) which offers a pleasant trek in nice surroundings, mostly through forested areas.
