Because you want to go sledding. All snow areas require a Sno-Park permit during winter season. You'll probably also need 4-wheel drive and chains.

15mi to cabin. 2.5 miles East of Timberline Rd. Good spot for sledding/tubing or a starting point for snow shoeing or cross country skiing.
