Cape Paterson Surf Beach is fun with its waves and is pretty safe (usually no rips). The surf beach is patrolled and always a hit with teenagers for boogie boarding, surfing or having fun diving under the waves. Younger kids love climbing elephant rock and playing in the pools below.

The beach here is popular for surfing, bathing and fishing. The beach is patrolled on weekends between December and Easter. Do be vigilant about rips in this area and steer clear of the rocks at each end of the beach.
