Climb the dune climb and let the kiddies run back down as fast as they can. For a workout, hike all the way to Lake Michigan.

You have to see this dune! Wonderful views of Lake Michigan You need more than one day to see all of the Dunes. The Dune climb for kids, will tire them and you out. Better to not try to get to the beach from the dune climb...it's long and there are many more big dunes before you even get to the beach. Good Harbor beach is great...Look for petosky stones ...but leave them behind as it is a National park.

Gorgeous must see place. If you are in shape try climbing what we call the "Cliff's of Insanity"

You must climb the dune. So pack your sun block and bottled water, take your sun glasses and hat and head south on M-109 out of Glen Arbor and travel to a stop sign. Turn left and continue on M-109 about 5 miles until you see the dunes on your right. The climb is longer and more strenuous than it appears but the views from the top are worth every step. When you reach the top we encourage you to enjoy it and strongly discourage you from climbing down the face of the dune, as that erodes an already fragile system and leads to a very difficult climb back up the dune. When you are done with the climb, head back on M-109 to the beach on Little Glen Lake, about 3 miles, and go for a swim!

Absolutely beautiful place to visit. Blue lake water up against light brown sand dunes. Access for both young and old, but be prepared to walk through soft beach sand.
