One of the most delicious restaurants in Harrisonburg. We highly recommend their lunch buffet so you can try a little bit of everything (or a lot of everything). Fun fact- all of the spices they use come imported from India!

“In 1911, Union Station depot was built on the south side of The Wetsel Seed Building in Harrisonburg, serving the B&O Railroad line. The depot provided passenger service on the B&O to the residents of Harrisonburg for thirty years, until November 1, 1941, and was also a popular location for picnics and people-watching. Today the location has been transformed into a great place to eat.”

“Great little coffee shop very popular with JMU students for good reason. Great coffee, handmade desserts and good light sandwich type fare. Likely to be busy.”

“Taste of Thai has been one of our family’s favorites since we moved to Harrisonburg. Family-owned and local, Taste of Thai has an extensive menu and everything we have tried we have liked! Our family's favorite dishes are Chicken Pad Thai, Jumbo Sesame Shrimp, and Chicken Praram (and we always ask for Chen- he's a wonderful server). ”

“We highly recommend taking a walk in the arboretum and admiring the vegetation. This arboretum is maintained by James Madison University and always boasts of gorgeous landscaping. Their small pond has ducks, turtles, and lots of pretty fish. Great place to take the kids or go on a walk with your pup. ”

Cinema
“Quaint venue for showings of classic films, live performances, and arts events (it's inside a tiny "mall," at the end of the long, wide corridor (with cool, old-fashioned shoeshine stand chairs). Right next to the Capital Ale House -- so make dinner and a movie plans!”
