The local beach of Catania is four kilometers long. There are free beaches and paid ones where the price includes a sun lounger and a beach umbrella. During the summer, the "D" bus runs along the beach starting from Piazza Paolo Borsellino and it's coast one euro for 90 minutes.

La Playa is a very long beach of very wide golden sand, full of beaches with excellent services, excellent for those who want the sandy coast, 10/15 minutes away from the center of Catania.

Lungo tutto il Viale Kennedy è possibile godere della costa sabbiosa servita da diverse strutture, sia a pagamento con servizi annessi, sia pubbliche. Molte delle strutture danno la possibilità di usufruire di attrezzature sportive e campi da Beach volley, calcio, surf e windsurf.
