Take a walk down the pier, watch fisherman, see the bridge from a new perspective, and picnic in the park. This is one of the best places for quick retreat in Charleston.
Waterfront park, pier, and children's playground with access to the Cooper River Bridge walking path.
From Shaggin' on the Cooper, to Music and Movies in the Waterfront Park, to great annual events like Blessing of the Fleet and Seafood Festival, this place is another 'must do' when visiting the IOP. Short drive, free parking, children's playground, gift shop and ice cream. Walk the pier and do some fishing, or follow the path to walk over the bridge. Can't beat the super view of Charleston Harbor from the Ravenel Bridge!
