There are several walking tracks showcasing the moon-like dolomite landscape around Moureze. choose a hike that suits your fitness, you will finish up in the town, which is well worth and wander around too. make a booking at L'ami Paradis at the end of your hike to really cap off a superb day.

Une randonnée familiale incontournable pour partir à la découverte d'un ensemble dolomitique, des géants de pierre aux formes fantasmagoriques patiemment sculptés par l'érosion au fil des millénaires !

“Beautiful and very unusual gardens designed with lovely water reservoir to allow many varieties of plants to thrive despite our dry climate. Converted from a quarry where owner used to play as a boy.”

“Valmagne Abbey is a former Benedictine monastery located near Villeveyrac, Hérault, in south-central France. It is a designated historic monument (monument historique). Valmagne Abbey was founded as a Benedictine abbey in 1138 but only twenty years later was attached to the Cistercian Order by decree of Pope Hadrian IV, where it remained until the French Revolution when monasteries in France were confiscated by the state and either sold or destroyed.[2] Valmagne escaped demolition and was sold intact to a Monsieur Granier-Joyeuse in 1791 who converted the abbey church into a wine cave for the maturing of wine in large barrels,[3] a function it continues to serve today.”

“The Cirque de Navacelles is an incredible natural phenomen, formed millions of years ago. Take in the views from the visitors' cente on the cliffs above, then plunge down the windy road to enjoy the lush countryside, ancient village and waterfall down in the uniquely shaped valley. An absolute must if you are in the Herault and have a day to explore this wonderful natural site. It offers the possibility to take a stroll with shady places to rest in between find the dozens of superb views which offer a paradise for photographers. For those who enjoy a long walk the trails are superb. Makes a great day out when paired with the nearby Grottes (caves) de Demoiselles.”
