For an old-timey kick, you can go to our one and only General Store, which offers the basics you might need for a short stay but also gourmet choices, excellent meats and a nice deli selection. It's located at 140 Front Street, just around the corner from the Tiny House.

This scenic little gem is on Front Street, which is Marion's real main street. Step back in time as it's an old-school grocery store with delightfully creaky floors and carries some essentials — milk, eggs, deli sandwiches, wine, etc. Bring cash; I don't think they take debit or credit cards…

“Uncle Jon's has always been the go-to place for coffee, muffins, quiche, whatever. Over the years, if we checked in to the cottage late at night and didn't have time to hit the grocery store, one of us would make the short trip to Uncle Jon's the next morning and bring back breakfast for everyone. Definitely order the cranberry muffins if they have them. We also grab a quick breakfast on our way back to the airport after our vacation is over. ”
