College subway station, you can walk down Gerrard, and then up Yonge. Enter through College Park. Or keep walking up yonge, and you'll see the street entrances.

$3.25 one way, no matter the distance. You can also get day passes if you are getting off and on more than a few times that day. Pick up a transfer ticket (red machines right after the turn styles) before you get on the train if you need to transfer to a streetcar after the subway.
