Beautiful views (well worth the $10/car admission fee) but if you're feeling adventurous you can also hike from the trailhead in Lake George Village).

www.lakegeorgeguide.com ½ mile south of Lake George Village on Rt. 9 Prospect Mountain has a 2030 foot summit with magnificent panoramic views of Lake George and the Adirondack region. It is very popular among tourists, locals and hikers because of the 100 mile view at the peak and anyone can either hike or drive up to the top.
