About an hour from Buckfield, visitors can drive up Mount Washington to see the incredible view at the peak. At its base, the town of Conway, New Hampshire offers shopping and eateries.

At 6,288ft, Mt Washington/Agiocochook is a marvel to behold! Home to some of the world's worst weather, this peak also offers challenging hiking and skiing, or an only slightly more relaxed drive to the summit. Dress for extreme weather as it can snow during any month of the year and many unfortunate visitors have succumbed to the suddenly changing weather!

NO LIFT SERVICE / EXTREMELY DIFFICULT! The world famous Tuckerman's Ravine is a 2.5 hour hike up Mt. Washington, and the reward is unbelievable! Ski from the headwall of the bowl all the way down to the parking lot. Experts only. If you get there and the weather isn't promising (it can get brutal up there), drive an extra 5 minutes and find Wildcat, our favorite ski mountain around.
