I’m vegetarian myself but they say these fast food, small meat sandwiches (in the old Souk) are must-try local street favorites (ask for the most popular fateyel or soujouk). Think tender meat from various body parts with tahini sauce and local spices!

Mahfouz’s famous fatayel sandwiches – made from fried meat, wrapped in paper-thin bread with tomatoes and tarator sauce – is a must. located in the old souk. It's the best ''shawarma'' in the world ;) and for only 2.000LL (1euros)
