Takes a bit of a detour to get here, but worth the trip! Lots of cool birds packed into a small area. Enjoy from ground level or the observation deck. Make sure to check is open before leaving.

This is a VERY small but lovely wild bird sanctuary located next to Quintana Beach. It's free to visit and definitely worth a stop by if you happen to be in the area during birding season. I would combine this visit with a day at Quintana beach or visits to local attractions within reasonable driving distance such as: Gulf Coast Bird Observatory Sea Center Texas Brazoria Wildlife Refuge

Bird watching Santuary...but the Quintana park has a nice beach access too! You can walk over to the Pier and fish or simply take in the view of the ships coming into the Port of Freeport! Huuugee ships … cool to see … but also the flocks of birds and dolphins that pass by also fun!
