Our favourite beach spot (shhh please don't tell everyone, as it's a well-kept secret). Dog-friendly beach areas all year round, easy carpark on the beach with a small cafe and public toilets. Best to check tide times and go at low tide for lovely wide sand flats, at high tide it's a less-impressive steep stony shelf!
A great 30-40 min walk each way either along the beach if the sea is out or the field path at high tide. When you get to the beach front turn left and walk along the coastal path. Whilst the car park is not very pretty there is a small cafe. If you fancy something a bit more special you could visit Bailiffs Court hotel and spa for afternoon tea.
Wild sort of beach with sand dunes and a wide expanse of sand at low tide. Popular for windsurfing.
