956 acres of wetlands restored on May of 2022, but already spawning salmon have returned along with lampreys and some rarely sighted birds including ibis and grackles. It was a 2 year process that removed some 1960's era levees and other flood control measures.

We LOVE this place. Great for all levels of hikers, this is a long flat trail that takes you through beautiful habitats of the PNW's most beautiful wildlife. Our list of spotted animals includes owls, eagles, beavers, frogs, hares, hawks, and deer.
