It is a 45 minute drive but well worth your while to visit the Hortobágy nationale park. Especially on days with horse shows and visits of the famoius Hungaria "Marha" cows. Check with the Tourinform in Mezökövesd for specific showdates.

Birdwatching The internationally acknowledged importance of the Hortobágyi Puszta is due to its unique bird life as well. The marshes and fishponds are excellent spots for bird nesting and migration.

Prachtig natuurgebied staat op de werelderfgoedlijst van de unesco. Vogelaars halen hun hart op! Huifkartocht over de Poesta. Een must voor iedereen die in de buurt is! Toeristentreintje. Rust ruimte!
