The Gather, Ennerdale 3AJ,, Ennerdale Bridge. Phone: 01946 862453 Ideal stop off whilst out walking or cycling or after your exploration of nearby Ennerdale Water and the surrounding forests and fells. A community owned cafe that's mostly run by volunteers. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. There's a small gift shop and a good clean loo. It's walking boot and dog friendly. There's a function room up above where exhibitions, workshops and classes (eg. yoga, pilates, crafts, singing) are held regularly. If you're lucky your visit might coincide with one of the evening Merry Neets (run by Dave and I) which are a traditional Cumbrian Gathering for folk to share songs (from individuals and groups of various sizes) storytelling, poems, clog dancing...if you have a talent you'd like to share come along and book one of the 5 minute floor spots. You're guaranteed a very warm welcome.

Welcoming customers from all over the world and receiving great praise for their home-made cakes and impressive range of teas & coffees. All produce is locally sourced. As well as our café, shop and community rooms we have showers and an Information Area with details of local walks, businesses, landmarks and activities in the region.
