This place has been around for for over 50 years. You don't last that long without doing something right. If you're going during the weekend, I would HIGHLY recommend reservations and even then prepare to wait. We normally don't sit in the dining room, but prefer sitting at the bar and ordering a…

Great steaks grilled on red oak and misquite. Nice drive back roads, down Los Berros Rd to Thompson Rd. don’t jump on the freeway.

The locals LOVE this place for the steak. Not a fine dining place, but people come near and far for their food.

Santa Maria style bbq and huge tri-tip sandwiches in a modest, no-frills place (though the rustic barroom has its charm and is where you can enjoy an Old Fashion or a beer while you wait). A favorite of carnivorous locals. Located in nearby Nipomo.
