Beautiful place to visit. Take plenty of water, sunscreen and appropriate clothing.
White Sands National Park, though 4 hours South of Santa Fe, is a great and unique place to visit with interesting sites surrounding.
Everyone must visit the White Sands. It is now a National Park. Make sure to take sunscreen.
Endless expanses of white sands! In the gift shop they sell sand discs that you can buy and then sell back at the end of the day to enjoy sand sldding.
about a 3 hr drive from Abq Go only in nice weather. Do not go if it's rainy or windy. If you have kids they can go sledding down the hills. You can buy a saucer in the gift shop or bring one with you. You can park your car and hang out and watch them "sled" for hours.
