About this place
Die Siegessäule auf dem Großen Stern wurde von 1864 bis 1873 als Nationaldenkmal der Einigungskriege erbaut. Im Volksmund wird das Denkmal auch "Goldelse" genannt. Im Inneren führt eine Wendeltreppe mit 285 Stufen zur 50,66 Meter hoch gelegenen Aussichtsplattform.
