Tips from locals
This place makes torte di riso and farinate since... forever (it was open at the beginning of 1800)!!! They cook everything in their big wood ovens. Absolutely to try!
This is a great place to try traditional Genovese cuisine and has been there for many many years. It's popular and very reasonably price.
Since 1889. Go back in time and taste to the ancient flavors: all sorts of vegetable pies and “farinata” (a Genovese pie made from bake chic pea flavors).
Typical and economical Genoa cuisine. Incredible farinata a typical Genoese food

“Very good traditional cooking, exceptional ratio price-quality. The white wine in the pitcher is good. The ambiance is a little bit shabby, no frills, but the food is very good. Try some pasta with pesto (normally troffie), bahnun (anchovies soup in tomato sauce), octopus with potatoes, everything else... Reserve! ”

“In the old port area, for an Aperitivo, inside in the nice pub (good music, old water reservoir downstairs) or outside in front of a medieval church (if it is open, go inside), good wine, appetizers. You can even order food from the restaurant nearby. ”
