Tips from locals
A beautiful park with miles of nature trails and many BBQ spots. Great for a family day out.
Wonderful for walking and cycling. Has a cafe and children’s natural play area amongst the woodland.
A local country park with loads of walking routes, shop and coffee shop. Great for dogs and bikes too. There's children's parks and even a dog agility course there. Opposite Butser Hill which is another good area for walking (Butser Hill can get quite windy).
A good place to start your exploration of the local country park and South Downs National Park with a centre just off the A3 north of Buriton.

“A fantastic place for all sorts of outside activity and sports. Amazing fresh air and woods used by many, and is dog friendly. BBQ pitches can be booked but book early as they are very popular. Also has a fantastic assault course for all ages and abilities.”

“If possible, walk to The Hawkley across the Hangars - it takes about 90 mins, but it's worth every heave up the Shoulder of Mutton when you get there! If not, wiggle through the lanes to get there... I'll try and direct you. Wonderful pub with really fantastic food - gets very busy so book a table. ”
