Japanese Restaurant
“Non traditional Japanese restaurant. If sushi is your thing, this is not the place to go. Very casual home style dishes. Try the specials. Two other locations, one in Santa Clara and one in Japan Town in San Jose.”

Bar
“This is actually a restaurant but it has a nice, small, friendly bar inside and when the weather is nice you can sit outside, have a drink or meal, and people watch. Happy Hour: 3-6:30pm and after 9pm. Close: Sun-Thurs. 10pm, Fri-Sat 11pm. This is the only place which stays open late in sleepy Menlo Park, but this is why we live here. For more late-night action, go to downtown Palo Alto. ”

Book Store
“Kepler’s Books at 1010 El Camino Real is a local bookstore that’s been in the area for over 60 years now. They have an outstanding selection of titles in just about any genre you can think of and their staff is well-read and knowledgeable. They often sponsor author visits and events, so be sure to check their website (keplers.com) to see if anyone noteworthy is in town while you’re here! This is also a great location to grab some children’s titles and let kids explore. Open Monday thru Saturday 9 - 10, Sunday 9 - 7 ”
