15th century inn, also popular for food; taxi/car recommended (country lane/dark)

With a story that starts almost 700 years ago, The Artichoke pub in Chartham isn’t short on character. It’s everything you’d expect from such a historic building - with old oak beams, cosy corners and exposed brickwork providing the backdrop to your experience. There’s a garden area too, perfect for a pint or two in the sun after enjoying the Chartham circular walk.

This is the nearest pub to the property - it is possible to walk but most convenient to go by car - it is about 5 minutes by car

Charming, old-fashioned, village pub, with excellent restaurant menu. Pre-booking recommended. 5 minutes stroll from the cottage.
