About this place
Payne Park was once the home of a ballpark that was erected in 1924 and was a long time spring training and minor league site for baseball clubs such as the Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox and the New York Giants. Baseball legend Hank Aaron hit his first ever Spring Training home run at the park.

29 acre Payne Park is just across S Washington , 0.5 miles away. It has the best playground (if you're travelling with little ones), a paved walking trail, tennis courts and a delicious cafe (Cafe in the Park). On Friday nights Cafe in the Park hosts live music.!
