Tips from locals
The wick houses Europes largest artistic community. The area has bars, resturants and cafes and theatre as well as art workshops.
Industrial hub with a big artist community and a stones throw from the Olympic Stadium. Check out the bars and restaurants along the canal. To get here you can walk south down the River Lea from my flat or catch a quick bus.
Arts, quirky clubs, micro-breweries, peak hipster stuff. Nice long walk along the canal on a sunny day.

“Victoria Park is one of London's most important historic parks. It's a beautiful place to spend some time - you can walk or cycle the circumference, stopping for a coffee and cake at the lovely Pavilion cafe, with a view of the lake, or at the Royal Inn on the Park for something stronger. You can take pedalos out on the lake in summer, and during those months there are often fairs or big concerts taking place in the park. Even in winter it's lovely for a stroll, and on a Sunday it hosts a great food market where you can easily spend a few hours (and plenty of cash!).”
