Tips from locals
Huge collection of Dutch and foreign films and film posters in a modern cultural center on the water.
Catch the free ferry to the north (behind central station) and check out the beautifull eye museum. They often have an exhibition and play interesting movies..
Amazing building with beautiful view and restaurant/ cafe and small shop for movie lovers. Perfect spot to experience Amsterdam watercity. And maybe see a movie or exposition
Take the (free) ferry behind central station and have a look at the cityskiline from the beautiful terrace of Eye Filmmuseum If you take the ferry to NDSM you have a different veuw. Many restaurants and interesting places over there as well (noorderlicht, pllek, ndsm terrein)
The Dutch Film Museum. Amazing architecture and views overlooking the city. They have great expositions and movies. Wouldn't recommend the restaurant though, walk a bit further to TOLHUISTUIN for food. Can't miss this spot!
